As I mentioned in a previous post, please take only the self-care ideas you need from these posts, and just keeping working all the good habits you already have going in your life! To meet the 30 Day Challenge, you don’t necessarily need to do something new everyday. Any self-care counts!
That said, here’s a plug for you to get moving a little more if need be!
There is a system in your body that moves fluid and waste to help you stay hydrated, nourished and cleaned out! It’s called your lymph system and it depends on your muscles moving in order to work well!
Your blood circulates because your amazing heart muscle pumps it throughout your body. But your lymph system moves as you do!
When your feet roll off the ground, your lymph pumps.
When your large muscles move, your lymph pumps!
Have any water weight hanging around? Move your muscles.
Have a sluggish feeling or getting over an illness your body is trying to clean out? Move.
Move in water. Gently stretch. Walk. Dance. Run and jump! Whatever you are up to doing.
Doesn’t have to be strenuous. Doesn’t have to take a lot of time. In fact, just focusing on moving while you are living is great!
Put your muscle into cleaning that kitchen floor! Bounce up the stairs or walk to your next appointment or ride your bike.
I’m so glad to have you here!
I hope you are gaining strength from watching the video and from all the ways you are caring for yourself!
Sending you love!
P.S. Don’t forget to chime in this week and let us know what is working for you!
I love the ideas in this post and the picture is inspiring to me! Yesterday I was packing and cleaning and getting ready for a trip we are going on and I started to feel a little overwhelmed. So I told my family I needed a little break and I sat down for about 20 minutes and read a couple chapters in a book. I felt refreshed and got back to all that needed doing, but it was nice to have taken a little breather!
What a fabulous example of self-care! The magic I think happened when you told your family that you needed a break. Instead of waiting for others to discern that you are tired or overwhelmed, taking a break yourself is such a proactive thing to do! Thank you for sharing! xo
I would love it if your video was linked in each of these posts. It would make it easier to listen each day. Thanks for all your effort, wisdom and the beauty of this journey.
Thank you for that suggestion Becky! So let it be written, so let it be done. xo
