Hello my friend, I hope you are well!

I came across this quote and it has given me food for thought.

“The love you withhold is the pain that you carry.”

What do you think? Is this true?

It seems to me, that there very well may be.

So I ask myself, and I ask you, what pain are you carrying around?

And why would we do that? What is there to gain by holding on to “negative devotion” that feels horrible and keeps us painfully preoccupied?

Maybe we don’t want to forget xy or z so that we won’t get caught in that ‘trap’ again. Or maybe we feel that pain is our badge that lets others know we’re not vulnerable anymore.

No matter our reasons, if it is causing us long term grief, our thinking may be in error.

What would happen if today, we decided to let the pain part go?

What if we set about praying to understand (and never forget) the lessons we learned from difficult life experiences, then pray for the ability to let the anguish part go?

Wow! That would be like removing an energy drain that’s been attached to the soul…

We could turn our full attention to love! To receiving, filling ourselves up with unconditional love (that eternal, unending supply); to giving, pouring love out on our family and friends and neighbors!

What a beautiful day it will be!

God bless your healing,
