Hey, I hope you are having an excellent Tuesday. Just a quick question for you…what kind things have you done for yourself today? What kind words have you spoken? What vote of confidence have you offered? What self-nurturing things have you said or done? {Sounds like, “I’m so proud of you!” or “Way to go, you finished that job!” or “You look nice today.” or “You’re making progress, that’s amazing!” or “Tired means time for rest, and it’s ok.”}
To illustrate the importance of this principle, have you been around someone lately who berates themselves in your presence? Or who withholds the self-care that they desperately need? Isn’t it interesting how people in that hungry, neglected state, have little good to say about others as well? Do you feel uplifted by their presence or encouraged or even loved? It’s pretty hard to pour anything out of an empty cup.
It is paramount to our own health and well-being that we learn to nurture ourselves. As women, we need the compassionate, nurturing energy that flows from those who are well nourished themselves.
Don’t wait for someone else to clue in and do it for you.
Start the ball rolling today, right now, to take care of your own needs. This practice will greatly bless everyone you meet. Most importantly, those you love.
Any great self-nurturing ideas?

Taking a bath, playing guitar, swinging in a hammock, snuggling with hubby! It has taken me a while to internalize the concept of not feeling selfish when I nurture myself. Taking care of me really does allow me to take care of my family!
I love these self-care ideas! Way to go Heather, isn’t it amazing how much more capable we are when we are nourished by our own efforts? Bless you!
