Shall we make a deal? I think that any time we are tempted (on Mother’s Day weekend or any other) to berate ourselves for all of our perceived imperfections, we will, instead, extinguish those thoughts and replace them with humble, loving thoughts of gratitude for what we have been able to do, for what has been done for us and for what we will have the opportunity to do in the future. It’s pseudo humility to be feeling low because we are attending to negative, ugly thoughts. Real humility is laced with gratitude and an acceptance of our humanness relative to God’s perfection. With Him, we can improve and grow and do all that is required.
Will you join me?
I wish you a beautiful weekend.
Much love,
Jacque
