Hi there!  Ready for a little more progress on your meal planning?

As soon as you finish your Meal Planning Step 1, then move on to this post.  Please don’t skip ahead!  It will not serve you to get ahead of yourself, and may actually shoot you in the proverbial foot because you may get overwhelmed and think “this is too much effort!” and be right back to paralyzed.  Simply go back, if need be, to the previous post and do the work. You’re going to be glad you did!

That said, with a finished Step 1 in your hand, you are ready to take another small step forward.

Step 2 consists of creating a page, portrait style, with three columns (breakfast, lunch and dinner), only these will also be broken into seven rows that are labeled, Day 1 through Day 7, so one week per page.

Then, as effortlessly as possible, move the information from Step 1, your meals/brainstorming page, onto the appropriate sections of Step 2.

Start with breakfast for Day 1, and continue down the page with breakfast menus for each day. Simple is good.

Then go to lunches.  Lunches are most flexible.  Depending on your lifestyle, left-overs can make for wonderful, efficient whole food meals in the middle of the day.

Once you have 7 Days of lunch ideas entered, move to dinners.  We are going to fine-tune this later, so don’t go crazy feeling that writing these down is too much of a commitment!  Easy does it.

I want to emphasize that meal time with your family is one of the number one ways to connect with them.  IT IS A BIG DEAL.  So, please don’t fall into the trap of thinking that it’s too much work or that it isn’t worth your time.

This menu plan could easily be the most important thing you do this month.  Maybe even this year.  It makes ALL the difference to take this piece of life by the horns and tackle it.  You are the LIONESS AT THE DOOR.  This is your domain.  This is where your greatest power lies.

Work at it until you have a few weeks filled in.  You could choose to fill in a week’s menus each day or just take an hour and get it done.

How many weeks to do?  That’s up to you, but I’ve found that 6 weeks of meal plans makes for a good rotation.

Step 3 is coming up!  You’re going to have some serious organizational euphoria coming up…

Happy weekend,

Jacque
