I just finished writing another three year vision for my vision board.

I have been amazed at how the last three years have been orchestrated and directed by the one I wrote in 2014.

It is so true, as one of my favorite visioneers, Dennis Deaton says, “You are always moving in the direction of your dominant thought!”

If you’d like to try it, here are a few guidelines to get you started.

First, be in a quiet, happy space.  You have to be in hope and a creative space to let your imagination, and hopefully heaven’s inspiration, into your mind. Turn on your favorite happy music or say a prayer or meditate for a few minutes to get yourself centered.

Close your eyes and think about the different things you’d like to learn or accomplish in all of the areas of your life, i.e. spiritual, mental, social, etc.

Then write out simple, present tense statements that reflect your growth, as if you are standing in the future, three years from now! Also, add all of the sensory-rich verbiage you can think of!  Color, smell, sounds, the way things feel to the touch.

You’ll have statements like, “Our family is stronger and more united than ever. We are growing together and I love hearing my children’s laughter as they work together.”  Or, “I am so grateful to have been able to finish all of my coursework for my degree. I can see my crisp, white diploma on the wall.” Or, “I love being in the bright sunshine, listening to the lapping of the lake and being able to swim for thirty minutes.”  .

Combine these statements to create a page of your vision, full of gratitude and thanks for the blessings and opportunities that have brought you to this moment.  Then post this page on your vision board, or mirror, or somewhere where you will see it often.  Read it several times a week or everyday and let the excitement and joy run through you!  Feel what it will feel like to be ‘there.’

This is a powerful exercise and it will be part of using your agent-hood to its fullest!

I hope you’ll go for it and feel free to post your uplifting comments to encourage others if you have experience with this already!

Be well,

Jacque
